Critical: Slender-billed Curlew

This migratory bird breeds in Siberia through central
and eastern Europe then migrates to southern Europe,
Turkey and North Africa. There have been only 1-3 S
lender-Billed Curlew sited since 2007. The loss of
habitat, hunting and difficulty in locating suitable
stop-over sites on migration have caused this population’s decline.
